TTL Supply & Cabot Shipping
(Burnside Industrial Park - Dartmouth, Nova Scotia)

From its location on Burbridge Avenue, the curb appeal of the 21,000 sq. ft. TTL Supply facility makes a case for going the extra mile in exterior design. Lindsay worked with Harvey Architecture to add visual interest using curved front entry panels, dramatic vertical moldings, and lots of glass to compliment the exterior finish of the Tilt-Up panels.

"We liked the twist to the entry design," says Jamie Weatherhead, General Manager. "We had a great relationship with Lindsay. They were easy to deal with and we are happy with the final product."

Just next door at Cabot Shipping, Lindsay worked closely with Lydon Lynch Architects to design a facade and interior customized to fulfill the client's desire for an appealing and functional facility.

The 18,000 sq. ft. office/showroom and warehouse space were constructed using energy efficient Tilt-Up sandwich panels, large windows, and open concept designed to flood the space with natural light.

Homburg

(Burnside Industrial Park - Dartmouth, Nova Scotia)

The curb appeal of this Lindsay design begins with the front corner curtain wall with open atrium of tinted blue glass. Dramatically angled Tilt-Up panels in a white and red metal panel roof canopy tie the Homburg corporate colours into the facility's design.

Inside, the 15-foot open joist ceiling allows for tall windows that flood the working area below with light. The tinted glass reduces glare and heat, with air-conditioning and high insulating value of Tilt-Up panels maintaining a cool and comfortable environment in the summer heat. A gym and walking track, kitchen, boardroom, and offices occupy the single-storey facility, with 15,000 square feet of parking hidden underground.

"I've had a number of people who have driven by call me out of the blue to say how handsome (the building) is," says Lina Fraser. President of Eden Hotels and Resorts, Fraser worked closely with the Lindsay team to create an office environment that is healthy, bright, and interesting to work in.

"The collaboration with Lindsay has been seamless," she comments. "We planned it well initially which made for no headaches. Lindsay is a very well organized, well run company and it's been a wonderful experience."

Pinchin LeBlanc-2

(Burnside Industrial Park - Dartmouth, Nova Scotia)

Pinchin LeBlanc Environmental Owner, Ron LeBlanc, speaks with enthusiasm when asked about their 12,000 sq. ft. Tilt-Up Concrete facility in Burnside Industrial Park (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia).

This Design-Build, single-storey office building is Lindsay's second such facility for Pinchin.

"We retained Lindsay to construct our first building but when we experienced growth over the past few years we felt it was better to move to a bigger lot and build a new building that would allow for future expansion," LeBlanc explains. "We had a very positive experience with the first building. There was good cooperation between us and Lindsay and we wanted to do the same thing again."

Lindsay worked with LeBlanc to develop a design specially suited to their needs which included a large reception area, office space flooded with natural light, and room for future expansion at the back.

"The design is unique and a statement for us, while keeping costs in line which was an important consideration," LeBlanc continues. "We certainly appreciated their cooperation and were very pleased to get in sooner than we expected. Schedule wise / price wise the whole experience was very positive. It's gratifying to know that a project of this magnitude can still be done on a handshake and turn out so well."
