RESTAURANTS / FOOD SERVICE
When dealing with new restaurant construction or renovation projects, Lindsay understands that the key success factors sought by owners include cost, schedule, and quality.
Lindsay Construction has an impressive record of client satisfaction earned based on meeting, and exceeding, these standards.
We bring much more to your project than simply organizing and managing the work. We are builders with a large team of skilled craftsmen including millwork and metal shops. And we excel in self-performing many construction specialties which leads to lower costs while granting greater control over quality and schedule.
Whether you have a detailed design and require a General Contractor, or prefer a full turn-key Design-Build approach, Lindsay will deliver impressive results.

Baton Rouge
(Halifax, Nova Scotia)
Throughout 2011 Lindsay Construction has completed several high-profile restaurant renovations. One significant success has been the transformation of a historic Halifax landmark into a warm, welcoming and elegant space for Baton Rouge Rib and Steakhouse.
Creating space for Baton Rouge in the landmark Morse Tea building on downtown Hollis Street involved working with base building restorers to prepare the 9,200 sq. ft., three-storey space for a full interior renovation from the basement up.
“Working in a 170 year-old building, complications are a certainty,” says Lindsay Project Manager Martin Kreft. “Our ability to coordinate with the restoration base builder, Starfish Properties, was a key component to success. Baton Rouge will certainly become a signature restaurant within a landmark building.”
Open since June, Baton Rouge features a world-class kitchen, exposed beams and original stone work, gleaming wood and leather seating, with striking steel and tile mosaic panels at the bar.
Restaurant partner Leo Salloum is impressed with the result. “The team at Lindsay has demonstrated their expertise at historic building renovations, which is never easy. There are always a lot of unforeseen circumstances, and they were always willing to work with us. It was just a very good fit and we’re very excited about our signature, elegant offering in Halifax.” |

Saltscapes Restaurant & General Store
(Millbrook Power Centre - Truro, Nova Scotia)
Lindsay helped local lifestyle magazine Saltscapes come to life with a complete interior renovation for Saltscapes Restaurant and General Store.

In keeping with Saltscapes’ focus, Lindsay hired all local subcontractors and used local material and resources whenever possible.
John Squires, the lead on Renovations, Acquisitions and New Builds at Pacrim Hospitality appreciates Lindsay’s professionalism:
"Lindsay is great to deal with. They operate as if they are the owners, and worked very hard on our behalf. We’ve developed a strong relationship now and they’ll be our choice for all our future projects.” |
