Tilt-Up Concrete
Lindsay Tilt-Up Concrete offers a building system with award-winning aesthetics, outstanding durability, and surprising economy.
Since the early 70's, our Tilt-Up specialists have led the region in installation of Tilt-Up Concrete systems and have quickly become the top choice for industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities.
Tilt-Up provides beauty, sophistication, durability, and virtually maintenance-free wall systems. It also has the ability to lower insurance rates and provide each of the following attributes:
- Timeless Durability (Clean & Solid)
- Fast Track Process (Economical)
- Energy Efficiency
- Attractive
- Flexibility for Expansion
- Low Operating Costs
- Excellent Security
- Low Cost / Exceptional Value
Tilt Up is a building system where load bearing exterior wall panels are cast on-site using local labour and materials. Once cast, panels are 'tilted' into place resulting in a precisely fitted, durable, and airtight structure.

Homburg
The curb appeal of this Lindsay design begins with the front corner curtain wall with open atrium of tinted blue glass. Dramatically angled Tilt-Up panels in a white and red metal panel roof canopy tie the Homburg corporate colours into the facility's design.
Inside, the 15-foot open joist ceiling allows for tall windows that flood the working area below with light. The tinted glass reduces glare and heat, with air-conditioning and high insulating value of Tilt-Up panels maintaining a cool and comfortable environment in the summer heat. A gym and walking track, kitchen, boardroom, and offices occupy the single-storey facility, with 15,000 square feet of parking hidden underground.
"I've had a number of people who have driven by call me out of the blue to say how handsome (the building) is," says Lina Fraser. President of Eden Hotels and Resorts, Fraser worked closely with the Lindsay team to create an office environment that is healthy, bright, and interesting to work in.
"The collaboration with Lindsay has been seamless," she comments. "We planned it well initially which made for no headaches. Lindsay is a very well organized, well run company and it's been a wonderful experience."

Chain Lake Place
Chain Lake Place is a perfect example of the beauty and versatility of Tilt-Up Construction combined with the skilled hand of an experienced Design-Builder.
This 46,000 sq. ft. commercial building reflects the desire of owner Larry Gibson to make a statement at its prominent location on Chain Lake Drive. Lindsay worked with Leif Fuchs of John K. Dobbs and Associates to bring Larry's goal to reality, with a beautiful functional home décor retail building.
"The excitement when the first panel went up was tremendous," says Gibson. "In construction you're always dealing with unforeseen issues. It's very reassuring to deal with an organization that relieves you of worries that can come into play."
Architectural panels (stepped in and out) give the illusion of three distinct buildings in one, with a four-foot overhang and parapet emphasizing individual storefronts. Currently occupied by Floors Plus and Sherlock Clothing offices, with more space available for lease, the Tilt-Up shell has a 24-foot clear for a full second floor and mezzanine if required by tenants.
"The overall experience was very comfortable and it's good to know that the structure is as strong as it is," Gibson continues. "We're definitely here for years to come."

The Wright Place
Though developer 20 Vic is the name behind a number of building projects in Burnside Industrial Park, the completion of The Wright Place marked their first experience with Design-Build Tilt-Up Concrete.
At 108,000 sq. ft. the building is one of Burnside's larger retail / warehouse projects, the result of almost two years of planning.
The completed building is another example of how the versatility of Tilt-Up allows for a beautiful and functional result. Bright white textured coating complements raised panels, parapets, crown mouldings, and lots of glass.
Dan Brown of 20 Vic was enthusiastic about the endeavor. "I loved the process. I found Lindsay to be very professional, bringing expertise to all aspects of the project. I am so impressed with the quality of Tilt-Up and the insulating value. Any time I can use Tilt-Up in the future, I will use it."
